Weres

Types

Werewolf: shapeshifter that can assume both human, wolf, and half-wolf form. The ones that go rogue are vicious, brutal animals that are far stronger than mortals.

Weaknesses: silver. Any weapon that has a high enough percentage of silver will cause significantly more damage to a were. Be sure to remove the head or the heart. Total immolation can kill them, but they often run off and their destruction is uncertain. Remember, they can survive a significant amount of damage.

Werepanther: shapeshifter that can assume both human, panther, and half-panther form. The ones that go rogue are vicious, brutal animals that are far stronger than mortals.

Weaknesses: same as werewolves.

Werebear: shapeshifter that can assume both human, bear, and half-bear form. There are a smaller percentage of these that go rogue than any other shifter. The ones that do, are vicious, brutal animals that are far stronger than mortals.

Weaknesses: same as werewolves.

Wererat: shapeshifter that can assume both human, rat, and half-rat form. Far more of these go rogue than any other shifter. The ones that do, are vicious, brutal animals that are far stronger than mortals.

Notes: Weres are, by their very nature, faster and stronger. They have heightened senses, sexual stamina, and are quick to heal. Most weres interact with humans daily. Live in their societies, and will never cause any trouble. It's the ones that go rogue that we're interested in. Weres, in animal form are larger than their mundane counterparts. Weres in half form, are larger than their human form.
